JOB SUMMARY

The Platform Operations Manager is responsible for assuring operation of Document Management Application suite and continuity of service with respect to both – service level (operating time) and performance level (reaction time, if an application fails) – as agreed in the specific SLA. She or he works with system and application specific tools, communicates with the IT team of our clients and handles all technical tasks regarding availability and operation of applications.
This specific Output & Document Management System serves as a central service for our logistics subsidiary. O&DM comprises two major components, the Output Management System and the Document Management System. The purpose of the Output Management System (OM) is processing output data provided by client applications and delivery of the processed data to the connected output channels fax, e-mail, printer and SMS.
The Output Management System is based on the COTS software StreamServe.
The Document Management System (DM) serves as document archive for the output created by the Output Management System. It stores the documents along with their corresponding index data and allows the retrieval of this document either by a dedicated web application or by the client application via web service. The Document Management System is based on the COTS software SAPERION.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementation of installations (Release-Business)
• Project support regarding Platform Management issues
• Maintenance of appropriate monitoring solutions
• Troubleshooting (IM)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent knowledge of the operating systems SLES 11, Windows Server 2008
• Excellent knowledge of scripting in Linux und Windows (e.g. Automation of processes, monitoring)
• Knowledge of network, LAN, WAN, VPN
• Good knowledge of the products Saperion, Streamserve
• In general experiences with Output management / Document management
• ITIL
• English – fluent in writing and speaking
