Currently, to our Business Process Outsourcing Center in Kraków we are looking for candidates for the position of:

Senior MS SQL Server Database Administrator
Ref. no SDA/KRK

You will work in a team of very competent colleagues with the responsibility to maintain and administrate the database servers. You will be based in our Krakow office in Poland and you will report from an operational perspective to the Head of Application Operations.
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to work with our virtualized Database Platform based on Microsoft SQL Server.
You will start off with an introduction to get knowledge of the internal processes and the internal systems.
Our work is mainly based on ITIL and you will work within the processes and very close to the other departments.

Job Description:
Most of our databases are SQL Server 2008 R2, but we have database servers with versions ranging from 2000 and up. About 90% of the database servers are virtual. We use the VMWare ESX platform for virtualizing our servers.

The main responsibilities are:
•Responsible for Production database servers
•Develop and implement procedures and routines for database operations e.g. installation, configuration, maintenance, backup and restore etc.
•Provide system documentation regarding configuration, installation etc.
•Minimize risk and down-time and by implementing organized, formal and routine based maintenance
•Provide expertise and support within the field of design, development, operations and performance to colleagues in various departments

Candidate’s profile:
•Excellent English skills
•3 – 5 years’ experience in working with SQL Server
•Competence in SQL Server 2005 and above
•Competence in T-SQL programming
•It’s a merit if you have competence in working with virtual SQL Servers on the VMware platform
•It’s a merit if you have competence in working with BI (Integration Services, Analysis Services etc.) on SQL Server
•Experience in problem solving and performance tuning
