NETWORK TECHNICAL ARCHITECT
Job Description
The Network Technical Architect is typically account based providing technical design, assurance and consultation in the support of solutions, projects and service for one or more accounts.
The Network Technical Architect as part of their assignment reports to a Practice Manager within Solution Management and Architecture.
This role is part of a Technical Architecture team responsible for the Technical Design and Assurance of the customer’s Network and Security infrastructure. To do this involves building up a detailed and in-depth understanding of the customer’s infrastructures, systems and applications and being aware of any new or inflight projects or changes.
They are the Technical experts for Networks and Security for their customers providing input and guidance to the Lead Technical Architect and Technical Strategy Director in the support of the Account Technical strategy.
The following are the major responsibilities of the Senior Network Technical Architect:
• Acquire a detailed understanding of the customer’s business needs, technologies, key applications and network and security infrastructure
• Be the Technical Authority for Networks and Security
• Work closely with the Lead Architect to help develop an account technical strategy and roadmap.
• Provide Network consultancy to the Account and Client as required.
• Ensure that Networks & Security are taken into account in all new solutions
• Provide Network technical input into Business Office proposals ensuring that the solution satisfies the customer’s requirements and is compliant with Atos standards.
• Produce High Level Designs (HLD) to meet client project requirements in compliance with Atos CTO standards and strategy.
• Provide technical assurance throughout the Low Level Design and Implementation project phases to ensure compliance with the HLD and Atos standards are maintained.
• Provide Network technical input into Business Office proposals ensuring that the solution satisfies the customer’s requirements and is compliant with Atos standards.
• Support the Lead Architect in the Technical Assurance process by attending Account Technical Assurance Boards as an approver.
• Identify and propose Service Improvements, Cost Reductions and Revenue Opportunities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Skills & Competencies:
Personal
• Must hold CCIE or CCDP industry level qualification or have equivalent technical ability and experience
• Must hold JNCIE or JNCIP industry level qualification or have equivalent technical ability and experience
• Must be able to undertake and gain BPSS Security Clearance or equivalent. (Will not be assigned to UK Government or secure accounts).
• Willing to travel as necessary in line with business needs (may be required for UK face to face meeting with clients)
• Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive
• Ability to appraise and quality assure the work of others
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Technical focus and drive
• Proven successful skills in providing technical design and architecture solutions specifically Networks and Security
• Professional and dynamic approach, demonstrates a clear passion for delivering world class IT services and solutions
• Previous experience in a Network Architecture role
• Excellent all round knowledge of IT infrastructure

• Able to analyse and understand the needs of clients
• The ability to identify new potential business opportunities within the customer’s organisation
• Able to envisage, design and create bespoke innovative technological solutions that will enable our customers to achieve their goals.

• TOEIC certification would be a plus

• Capable of articulating the precise nature of any given situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical or non-technical.
• Previous involvement in presentations to senior management levels internally and within the client arena.
• Presence and credibility in front of customers, with the gravitas to work effectively with our client representatives and technical teams.
