We are looking for a Database Developer / Architect to join a team on a project to develop a scalable BI Solution for a mobile analytics platform.
The DB Developer / Architect will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of database solutions that support the business intelligence product and enables timely, accurate and consumable information for our end users.
Additionally, the Database Developer will be responsible for monitoring and implementing improvements to the infrastructure that supports the BI services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Experience with MySQL, Java, Linux, JavaScript
• Develop scalable database solutions for various BI needs:
• Abstraction, Transformation, Aggregation, Migration, Optimization
• Expertise in ETL process and Data Warehouse structure/data
• Define, test, debug and audit the execution of custom Metric logic that lives in ETL code
• Define, test, debug and audit data validation and regression frameworks
• Define, encourage and enforce coding, SQL, testing and documentation standards
• BI Server Installation, Configuration, Optimization, Monitoring and Support: Ability to start, stop and troubleshoot server issues, Performance Monitoring and Tuning
• Develop and maintain monitoring, auditing, benchmarking processes, including:
• Technical processes to ensure ETL executes
• Data Accuracy
• On-time delivery
• Develop and maintain performance standards (benchmarking)
• External user interface
• Backend processes
• SQL query performance tuning
Additional Skills (optional)
• Knowledge and experience of working with Mongo DB
• Knowledge of Agile development practices
• Development using Continuous Integration
• Use of JIRA
