Merchent’s software is used in over 40 countries to the major brands Including Microsoft, ASOS, Mazda and many others. With offices in Poland, the USA & UK in help clients across EMEA, APAC & Americas.
Further growth is due, we are seeking additional Senior Java Developers that join our team in Krakow Engineering Center working on high-frequency trading and real-time media applications.
This role is for Java Developer with opportunity to learn Scala and NoSQL technologies Including Hadoop and Couchbase.
Key Responsibilities
Design, development and implementation directory of globally-distributed Java / Scala applications
Ensuring code quality and good unit test coverage of applications
Providing advice and guidance that other team members
A desire to learn every day, to ask “why?” And “how can we improve?”
Key skills required:
Significant Java development experience (minimum 4 years) in a distributed computing environment
Experience of relational and no-SQL technologies (eg MySQL, Couchbase, MongoDB)
Experience of common web technologies (eg HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery)
Good spoken / written Angielski (other European languages are helpful, but not essential)
Bachelor / Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline
