Description

Your responsibilities as a PCG Software Engineer will include (but will not be limited to):
- Actively participating in all major stages of software development lifecycle, e.g. requirements definition, research, implementation, validation, post-release support activities
- Creating and maintaining software documentation
- Creating (designing, coding and debugging) software in various programming languages according to specifications and conforming to the coding standards
- Code review, code analysis, requirements analysis, risk analysis
- Code profiling and performance tuning
- Design & implementation of the Graphical User Interface
- Unit testing and assurance of the software quality
- Utilization effective project management skills to planning, reaching milestones, and reducing risk by identifying problems, developing solutions scoping, and estimating tasks
- Performing majority of tasks in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor
- Occasionally traveling to and assisting the customers or other Intel teams located across the globe

Qualifications

Master of Science or Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Experience/Skills:
- Expert knowledge of C/C++ low level and system programming
(4+ years experience)
- Driver development and multithreaded programming
- Strong problem solving skills
- Fluency in English

Experience/Skills that will be beneficial on the job but are not mandatory:
- Demonstrate experience in software and hardware systems architecture (CPU, chipsets, memory controllers)
- Demonstrate experience with ARM microcontrollers development is a plus
- Knowledge of FPGA/ASIC technology is a plus
- Project Management training and/or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of hardware programming aspects and system-level debugging skills
- Practical knowledge about multi-core software development
- Demonstrate experience in storage systems, concepts, storage interfaces, and storage drivers
- Expertise in virtualization technologies
- Security awareness and basic knowledge of encryption algorithms
- Demonstrate Assembly language skills
- Knowledge of testing techniques
- Knowledge of script languages and text processing tools
- Demonstrate experience in SAS/SATA and PCI interface, flash memory programming, BIOS/OROM
- Demonstrate experience with variety of microcontrollers, Atom development and architecture
- Agile SW development experience
- Fluency in Polish
