Description

APSS Software Team has openings for a software Validation Engineer to improve quality of Storage products through the use of systematic tests.

The candidate responsibilities include:
- Develops validation tools and infrastructure.
- Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

Qualifications

You should possess an MS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Candidate must have 5 years work or educational experience in the following areas:
- Solid programming skills in C/C++ both on Windows and/or Linux.
- Strong testing skills both in black box and white box testing. Can do systematic analysis and debug in depth and identify the root-cause.
- In depth technical expertise on operating system internals, or similar system SW products such as memory manager, threading management, security, OS kernel or processor virtualization principles.
- Software development experiences that involved understanding of computer architectures, microprocessor architectures, platform architectures.
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- Knowledge is required in software unit testing, acceptance testing, integration testing, sw release, and sw maintenance best practices.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Python or Perl scripting is a plus.
- Knowledge of simulation methodology (functional and cycle accurate) would be a plus.
- Experience in C# programming
