Location: Krakow (Poland)
The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, and applying this to solve customer issues remotely, and to drive customer satisfaction.
Relationships:
• Reports to a CMS manager.
• Builds strong team relationships with other CMS Engineers. She/he enjoys sharing knowledge. Effectively troubleshoots problems both alone and as part of a team, depending on the nature of the incident.
Deliverables:

• Provide broad triage support within Application, Operating Systems and Data Center solutions. Solutions include Oracle and SQL data bases, RHEL, Windows server and Java application environment (Jboss, liferay, web services)
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation of factors.
• Provide systems/product support and training to customers, and contribute towards building a knowledge base to help customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide guidance leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Develop expertise in specific areas (i.e. technology, product). Transfer this skills in order to mentor colleagues and/or customers via presentations or documentation (technical tips, etc…)
• Act as a focal point for high impact, large account problem resolution.
• Act as a technical expert and provide support on a European and world-wide basis
• Interfaces with VARs, OEMs, end-users, and internal engineering departments to drive quality into the product.
Travel / Shifts:
• Occasional travel to customer may be required
• The job holders will work to European office hours (morning and evening shifts)
Technical Skills:
• 3+ years of experience and hands-on of maintaining various applications build in Java technologies especially liferay, jboss, web services (mandatory)
• Experience in JEE (highly advantageous)
• Advanced understanding of OS especially different distribution of Linux (advantageous)
• Good understanding of DB: Oracle and MySQL (advantageous)

Industry or Sector Experience:
• Prior experience in a technical support capacity (advantageous).
• Prior experience of high-level technical problem solving (essential)
Education:
• Bachelors/Master in Computer Studies or Engineering or equivalent (essential)
• Vendors (Oracle, Microsoft, RedHat,…) relevant technical certification (advantageous)
