SENIOR WEB FRONTEND DEVELOPER with
PHP and D3 experience
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide strong vision and technical leadership in web frontend development and usability.
• Architect solutions from data sources to processing to end-user display
• Create exploratory tools for visualization using Open Source tools and coding from scratch
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of structured and unstructured data
• Create libraries for internal developers to utilize for data manipulation and visualization
• Work closely with our other developers and data mining team to improve the value of our information processed or collected
• Research and prototype techniques and algorithms to push our data analytics to the leading edge
YOUR SKILLS &
PROFILE:
• At least five year experience in web development
• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (
ECMA Script 5.1) and Jquery
• Wicked sharp analytical mind
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and computational complexity theory.
• Knowledge and experience with at least several server side technologies listed here: Zend, Symphony, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Memcache, Bash, Spring,
JPA, Stripes,
JAX-RS (Jackson), Tomcat, Apache
• Good grasp of object oriented design and design patterns.
• Master or Bachelor degree in a computer science field or strong related experience
• Additional skills welcome: experience with data visualization (D3 or Protovis), experience with Java,PHP,Python and/or Scala
