Currently for our Client, international consulting company, we are looking for Database Administrator to work in Katowice.

Job specification:
• Administer a database system with the assistance of more than one DBA
• Install and upgrade the Oracle server and application tools
• Allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system
• Create primary database storage structures after application developers have designed an application
• Create primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application
• Modify the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
• Enroll users and maintain system security
• Ensure compliance with your Oracle license agreement
• Control and monitor user access to the database
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the database
• Plan for backup and recovery of database information
• Maintain archived data on tape
• Back up and restore the database
• Contact Oracle Corporation for technical support
• Maintenance of Disaster Recovery

Requirements:
• Associates degree or equivalent combination and/or experience in related field
• 2 – 5 years of experience in an Oracle or SQL support position
• Excellent hardware and server builds and configuration
• Red Hat and Windows install, support and configuration
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time
• Ability to learn quickly in order to work efficiently and meet deadlines
• Very good English skills
