For our client – an international company selling computer software, particularly focusing on the field of data security and information management we are currently seeking individuals for the position of Technical Support Analist.

Main accountabilities:

• Providing high quality support for the Backup Exec products on Windows Servers, as well as other Symantec Software products as required
• Resolving technical issues with customers over the phone
• Working remotely with the customers representatives (IT specialists) in order to lead the case to resolution
• Ensuring proper escalation procedures are followed for unresolved issues
• Sharing your knowledge and competencies, as well as discovering with the team locally
• Managing the customers’ expectations and satisfaction
• Developing yourself and your skills – in both the technical and customer-related areas

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• University degree in IT
• At least 2-3 years experience in working as IT support (2nd line/3rd line)
• Good experience of working with Windows server OS’s, including Active Directory
• Basic networking knowledge (software and hardware).
• Knowledge of Oracle DB, MS Exchange, MS SQL, and/or UNIX will be a plus
• Backup technology experience would be a major advantage
• Fluency in English and one of the following languages: French or German or Italian or Spanish (verbal and written); more than one is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills with experience of effectively interacting with other teams and cultures
